Benefits of Membership

Becoming a financial member of the Queensland Sea Kayak Club (QSKC) carries with it significant benefits (not offered by informal paddling groups). Some of these benefits include:

  • Discounts on paddling gear offered by selected retailers – refer Club website Sponsors and also Queensland Canoeing “Member Benefits Guide”
  • Club trips that are structured according to national safety guidelines and which are led by Trip Leader(s) who adhere to risk management protocols
  • Specific training and skills development programmes including access to highly qualified Sea Kayak Instructor / Assessor(s) which are provided free or at a subsidised cost to financial members
  • Insurance coverage for club sanctioned activities because of our affiliation with Australian Canoeing and the state body, Queensland Canoeing.

Online Membership

QSKC uses an online membership system provided by Australian Canoeing.  If you have problems registering, please contact the Membership Officer (details above). To join QSKC, please register using the membership system as explained below. Once you have registered, please arrange payment of membership fees. Fees can be paid by any of the options indicated at the end of the registration process or via the club’s preferred method using PayPal, using the links below.  Once payment has been received, and for EFT can be up to 2 days, the membership application is approved manually by a Committee member and you will be sent a welcome email. Once you receive the welcome letter you will be able to register for club events.
