As I have done in previous years, I have registered a Clean Up Australia Site and would like to encourage you to join me for a few hours as part of the QSKCs contribution to cleaning up the bay.
Here you can find out the date and time of my “Green Needs a Clean” Clean Up: http://www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au/Green+Needs+a+Clean. If you would like to volunteer at my Clean Up please click the “Join this Site” button on the right.
This is a great way to do something good for our local paddling environment and especially for Green Island which gets very little care and attention.
We will meet at Wellington Point before paddling across to Green Island to collect and remove rubbish from Green Island. I will also ask our friends at QPWS to again assist us with transport of collected rubbish the following day.
Come along with some gear to assist including garden gloves, shoes a good hat and bags for rubbish.
Don’t forget to bring some morning tea, cold drinks and a thermos to cover morning tea before we wrap up and return to Manly around lunch time.
QLD Park and Wildlife Services agreed to support us again with a vessel tp pick up the rubbish the following day.
